To thoroughly implement the theme of “Fire Safety for All, Life First” and comprehensively enhance the safety awareness and emergency response capabilities of all employees, Zhongwei recently organized a month-long series of special activities dubbed “Fire Safety Month.” This event features a comprehensive and well-structured program that covers multiple dimensions, including comprehensive drills, specialized inspections, skill competitions, and knowledge quizzes. These activities have effectively strengthened the company’s safety foundation and provided a solid guarantee for its sustained and stable development.
Comprehensive Firefighting Drill
From November 19 to 21, the company organized comprehensive fire drills sequentially at each of its production sites. The drills covered key aspects such as emergency evacuation, troop assembly, and hands-on operation of firefighting equipment. Throughout the entire process, instructions were clear, responses were swift, and actions were well-organized, effectively testing the practicality and operability of the emergency response plans and significantly enhancing employees' ability to help themselves and others in the event of an emergency.
Special Inspection of Electrical Appliances
Starting November 12, the Safety and Environmental Protection Department, in collaboration with the Equipment Maintenance Department, conducted a five-day special inspection of electrical equipment. The inspection focused on key areas including electrical wiring, distribution cabinets, office electrical usage, high-power equipment, fire protection facilities, and the management of flammable and explosive materials. The inspection comprehensively identified potential hazards, established detailed records, and set clear deadlines for corrective actions, ensuring thorough source control and proactive prevention to keep the company’s electricity and fire safety fully under control.
Firefighting Skills Competition
From November 18 to 21, a fire-fighting skills competition was held at the Zhongwei plant. The competition included events such as throwing and connecting fire hoses, quickly putting on firefighting gear, and practical fire extinguishing operations using fire hydrants. All participating teams were full of energy and performed their actions with precision, demonstrating excellent professional skills and a strong sense of teamwork. After intense competition, first-, second-, and third-place team awards were presented, and all participants received encouragement, fostering a positive atmosphere of "learning from each other, striving for excellence, and competing to be better."
Safety Knowledge Competition
The fire safety knowledge competition has received an enthusiastic response from all departments. The competition covers topics such as fire safety, production safety, and occupational health. By using competitions as a means of promoting learning, it further popularizes safety knowledge, strengthens employees' theoretical understanding of safety and their ability to identify risks, and helps embed safety concepts deeply in the hearts of employees.
General Manager Wang Shengjian delivered the opening remarks at the summary and commendation meeting. He pointed out that safety is the prerequisite for development, and fire protection is the cornerstone of safety. This Fire Safety Month campaign was meticulously planned, effectively implemented, and widely participated in, fully demonstrating the company’s high regard for and strong commitment to safe production. We hope that all employees will take this event as a new starting point, truly internalizing the principles of “life first, safety paramount” and putting them into practice. Let us continue to enhance our safety skills and emergency preparedness, and together safeguard the company’s safety and our families’ happiness.
In his concluding remarks, Safety Officer Xu Jianguo emphasized that this series of activities has effectively tested and enhanced the company’s safety management and emergency response capabilities. Moving forward, we must continue to consolidate the achievements of these activities by institutionalizing hazard identification, standardizing emergency drills, and systematizing safety education. This will help us steadily strengthen our safety management foundation, comprehensively enhance our risk prevention and control capabilities, and build a robust safety shield for the company’s high-quality development.
Fire safety is as vital as Mount Tai; only by combining prevention and control can we ensure lasting peace and stability. Taking this Fire Safety Month as an opportunity, Zhongwei will continue to deepen the development of a safety culture, refine long-term mechanisms, and firmly uphold safety responsibilities. Together with all our employees, we will jointly create a safe, stable, and harmonious environment for development, laying a solid foundation for the company’s steady and sustainable growth.
