In 2017, China's chemical fiber industry continued to improve, with high-quality enterprises achieving record profitability. Companies such as Xin Feng Ming, Taihua, and Weihai Tuozhan successfully listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen main boards, becoming hotspots of interest in the capital market. Reports of technological innovation in China's fiber sector have been frequent, such as the project "Key Technologies and Applications for Industrialization of Dry Spinning Wet Spinning Thousand-ton High-strength / Hundred-ton Medium-modulus Carbon Fiber" winning the National Science and Technology Progress Award First Class, and the domestic production of solvent-based cellulose fibers. China's fiber industry has entered a new era of strategic development, with strong R&D initiatives in flexible manufacturing, recycling, bio-based, and functional fibers; intelligent manufacturing, green manufacturing, and foundational engineering gathering momentum; and national industrial awards and champion brands further showcasing the strength of fibers.
